Short Story Shorter...
We met working in the same circles, and we knew that we wanted to work together.
Our conversations would often lead us to the same thing; this is crazy, the mental health of our nation is not improving, and some of the systems in place seem so inhumane.
We have seen systems fail people rather than supporting and helping them, and we have seen those people give up because the barrier to getting help is just too hard. We knew that they were the people we wanted to help.
So Avinue was born.

We Are All About

Supporting the Supporters
That’s you; the nurse, the coach, the exercise physiologist, the teacher, and even the insurance consultant. There's nothing we love more than supporting those who look after others.

Education and Resources
That means equipping supporters with the knowledge and tools to recognise and understand mental health issues, including those that may not be immediately diagnosed.

Trust and Kindness
Just like Brene Brown says, “Strong Back Soft Front”. We believe that leading with kindness builds trust, removes ego and allows for better outcomes with clients.

Meet Davinia
If you don’t provide kindness to someone, you don’t provide the capacity for emotional safety, trust and balance.
I had children early and had always thought that that would be me.
After a while realised I wanted more however I didn’t know what that looked like.
I have always felt like an imposter when in a room of clinicians. I often had something going on the side, but being a visionary I never really executed very well.
When I learnt about neuroscience it gave me light bulb moment of how I can help people, and how I can facilitate real change, and then it gave me some thing even more important;
I realised that I can change. That I can be different.
To understand how powerful that statement is for me, you need to know that am a habit queen. I have set days for different things and I’m consistent with my habits, each day and each week.
A dream of mine has been to go to India because it seems like the opposite end of the spectrum to the way I live. I would love to dive into their world and the discomforts it brings me, as well sinking into the spiritual practices. I can't wait to soak up the sounds, sights, smells and feels that I imagine are present in every corner of their country.
I know it would be uncomfortable for me, which is why I feel it's important. And in that, I know that there is beauty and bliss.
Meet Alana
My 6th grade teacher once told me that I could be a brain doctor, and it always stayed with me. I love personality assessment, neuroscience and figuring things out
